Georgia is produced in our Springfield factory, an environmentally conscious factory. They share our values and produce in a fair way, just as at all our partnering factories, women are entitled to equal pay and maternity leave. To learn more about our factories, check our factory profiles page.

Georgia comes in our Woven Leather, which is characterized by its layered, strips of soft leather. Springfield works with a group of women in Bilpar, a small village on the outskirts of Kolkata, who weave the leather. Currently, there are around 40 housewives who work from their homes, which allows them to earn a sustainable income while still fulfilling their household responsibilities like taking care of the children. By providing work opportunities to these women and supporting their skills, we are making a positive difference in their lives and the lives of their families.

Our premium quality sustainable leather is tanned without the use of harmful chemicals and has no synthetic top finish. Because of the open structure, scratching will occur and irregularity in color and texture are part of this leather. The leather will develop over time and will look even better the more you use it!
